Indications

Popantel is a broad specturm anthelmintic for use in dogs for the treatment of:

Roundworms: Toxocara canis& Toxascaris leonina Hookworms: Ancylostoma brazilliense, Ancylostoma canimum and Uncinaria stenocephala Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum (flea tapeworm), Taenia ovis, Taenia pisiformis, Taenia hydatigena& Echinococcus granulosus (Hydatid tapeworm)

Dosage:

1 tablet per 10kg – be sure to weigh your dog before dosing

Dosage should be rounded to the nearest 1/4

Roundworms and hookworms.Treat at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age and then every 3 monthsWhipworms.Treat every 6 to 8 weeks after 3 months of age.Pregnant and lactating bitches.Treat at mating, 10 days before whelping and then every 3 monthsHydatid tapeworms.Dogs in hydatid areas should be treated every 6 weeks.Other tapeworms.Treat every 3 months, and treat your dog regularly to control fleas

Popantel – medication of choice

By: Diane on 25 April 2020This product has been our medication of choice for a long time (3 dogs)  Only used a different brand once when Popantel became difficult to get and the dog was very sick so we returned to Popantel online via the Vet Shed who are always very prompt  with supply.(5)
